I remember living in Playa and loving it. Walking was made easy as it was generally safe. Such a great place to live without a car. Bike and walk everywhere. A 5$ taxi ride to megastores like Costco etc...
Nightlife was another plus.
Any night you could find a scene. Be it at the beach, sipping drinks at a hip lounge with your feet planted in the sand or on 5th Avenue people watching.
Nightclubs abound too. And what a scene!
I've never been much of a party-er. Back home, in Montreal, or Malibu or Quebec, bar scenes never called out to me. In Playa del Carmen, it's another story...
When in Playa, you just want to walk the Quinta, grab dinner at delicious eateries or sip a Mojito in a laid back lounge. Then one thing leads to another and next thing you know, the sun is rising ...
